Request Storage Material

To properly keep Expo collections and high-value books, the first volume of these collections arrived at the library are shelved on the close stacks in the documentation storage rooms as the storage materials.

If there is no extra copy or all copies of a storage material are on loan, professional readers and staff readers can use the service. The librarian will keep the requested books at the service desk on the date specified by the readers for readers to pick up.


The service is temporarily not available for common readers.


Date of Reservation:

Reservations can be made within 14 days in advance. Same-day reservations should be made before 2 p.m. Readers can make a reservation on the next opening day after 2p.m.

The WE Library will temporarily suspend the service on weekends, holidays,temporary closing days, or when the climate is not suitable for taking storage materials out of the storage rooms, such as the plum rain season in June and July.


ReadingZone:Storagematerials are for in-library reading only. Do not take them out of the library.



Request procedure:

1. Search for the books you want to request on the OPAC, log into the system, and click to request.

2. Select a library opening day to pick up and read the book. 

3. When arriving at the Library, the reader can pick up the book at the Service Desk on the first floor with your Reader Pass.

4. Readers should return the book to the Service Desk before leaving the library for the convenience of other readers.


Cancellation and violations:

1. If cannot visit the Library on the scheduled day, the reader should cancel the reservation in a timely manner.

2. Same-day cancellation is not accepted.

3. If a reader no-show three times in total, the Library will suspend the reader's right to enjoy the service for three months.

4. If the Library fails to provide the service under special circumstances, the staff will contact the reader to cancel the reservation.
