WE Library under Construction

[Catalogues & Reports]

Catalogues and reports are the scripts of Expos.

Exhibit catalogues of early Expos have systematically and elaborately showed the exhibition system and layout of collections provided by various countries, demonstrating typical products and philosophy of the specific time and region. Illustrations in part of catalogues restore typical exhibits via engravings and photos. The Expo Jury Report records the awarding system of each Expo and brief comments on exhibits addressed by authorities from different industries.

The Final Report, General Report, or Official Report published by organizers after each Expo summarizes the general information, preparation, and operating process of the Expo and highlights its significance and featured projects. Part of the reports includes site planning which contain abundant information, showing the achievements and wisdom of host countries in different eras of the global mega events.

The Report from Commissioner Generals released by each country often delineates how the country prepares for participating in the Expo and comments on Expos and exhibits of other countries. This report intuitively records cultural exchanges at each Expo.

The WE Library has collected Catalogues and Reports of multiple Expos and maintained the navigation to resources of other institutes from both inside and outside China. The WE Library will continue to collect, organize, and process proprietary collections and gradually show them in interactive touch screens in the library, the Digital WE Libary, and following exhibitions. The Library welcomes readers when the collections are available to the public. The WE Library will keep updated the resource navigation on "external resources" of the library portal to link the readers to more Expo resources.
