Expo-themed, high-quality publications are the core collections of the WE Library. Since 2012, the WE Library started to systematically search for and acquire publications regarding the previous Expos. The Library has received near 1,000 donations from all over the world.
Expo books cover various subjects, such as industrial technology, transportation, history, geography, literature, art, culture, education, agricultural science. Types of these books range from official reports to academic monographs, illustrated catalogues, novels, recipes, and more. Books published in different eras extensively reflect the historical background. The culture of the country where a book is published can also be found between lines.
These books can be searched via the WE Library OPAC.
Expo collections published before 1949 and storage materials with only one copy are not available to common readers. The WE Library will continue to digitize these publications by scanning and purchase more copies, so as to provide them for readers.
